Lauren Get Engaged? -not this week
at least.
We have already been approached by several possible in-laws about
a merger between families. Kathryn and I had both held off about discussing
possible suitors, but when parents and future parents began knocking
down our proverbial e-mail door with "incentives", the issue
must be addressed. We were planning to go the nontraditional route,
and let Lauren find a suitor on her own, but all the parental pandering
that has been going on almost leaves us no choice, it appears that
the great hunt for Lauren's Husband has started. Wes, Niell and Trey
need not apply.
Suitor # 1
Introducing: Jack Vick
Advantages: Older, will learn how to mow the grass sooner; appears
to be happy, but it could just be gas; celebrates Christmas instead
of Kwanza; has similar taste in Bounce-n-ettes, Very handsome.
Disadvantages: potential UNC fan, is from eastern NC, appears to have
gas.

Introducing: Davis Dillenback
Advantages: we have known his Mom for a very long time, is from Greensboro,
attends super bowl parties, social, very intelligent (knows when to
go to sleep), and show no affinity to UNC, smiles alot..
Disadvantages: we have known his Mom for a very long time, already
seems interested in beer, possible ECU fan, parties too much, potential
momma's boy..
Suitor # 3
Introducing: Brooks Kahn
Advantages: older, good looking Mom, possibly a good fisherman, lives
in a great neighborhood, has lots of toys, has own room, likes dogs
Disadvantages: father has questionable fishing skills, lives with in
walking distance, appears to be a nudist, potential App fan.
Suitor # 4
Though a little younger than Lauren, a well dressed and very
hip young Gentleman,
this dude is always welcome to call on our house. |
